BEHIND THE STUDIO

Heya, I’m James.

I’m an American filmmaker and photographer living and working in Japan for over a decade.

During that time I’ve produced everything from commercials and branded content to interviews, events, documentaries, and social media campaigns for local and overseas clients across the country.

The studio provides access to professional equipment, unique and modular filming locations, including a craft beer bar located in the same building.

Koenji Studio also hosts live music, chess nights, and retrogaming parties.
